Laurus nobilis
The Noble Laurel is a species of evergreen shrub in the Lauraceae family native to the Mediterranean basin that can measure up to 6 m wide and 20 m high. Noble laurel essential oil is extracted from the leaves of the plant by steam distillation. The leaves of the laurel are traditionally used to eliminate bronchial secretions in addition to being very appreciated as a flavoring in cooking.
