Cinnamomum camphora The camphor tree is the tree from which camphor is made. It is a very imposing tree, 50 meters high and 12 meters in circumference. This Asian laurel which grows in Japan and China, has evergreen and glazed leaves, and can live for more than a thousand years. It belongs to the Lauraceae family.
